15 Sleeping Giant is hosting a mounted clinic with Jill Dunham, C3
Examiner on March 15th at Northern Lights in Bethany.  The clinic is
for all levels and will be concentrating on basic position and
effectiveness of position on the flat.  We understand that this has
been a hard winter and many horses may not be too fit.  We will be
keeping groups to 3-4 riders.  The cost is $25.00 per rider.  We have
limited spaces available so we will take anyone interested on a first
come, first serve basis.

If you are interested in the Jill Dunham Clinic please contact
Gremmey Dey at Dsdey@aol.com or Liz Doering before 3/10/03.

15 Attention NYUC clubs:
Running Fox Pony Club is hosting a Standards and Ratings Clinic on 3/15/03.  We are opening this clinic to other clubs at the cost of $15 per person (members and parents are welcom).  This clinic will explain and show what each rating level is and what the difference between a rider at each level is.  It is a great opportunity for new parents and members to understand the rating system and for older members to learn more about teaching the lower levels..ie what they are looking for and what they can expect each level can do.
I am attaching a flyer describing the Clinic and Allie Thurstons bio...but you may not be able to download it.  So here is a brief description.  I can mail or fax a flyer to anyone interested.  Just email me directly and give me your address or fax number.
Our clinician, Allison Thurston is a Level III ARICP Instructor and a Centered Riding Level III Clinician.  She conducts clinics internationally and is a frequent presenter at the USPC national meetings.  From 3-6 pm, Allie will be covering what is expected in the mounted sections for each rating D1 - C2.
We will Then have a dinner and a 1 hour presentation with visuals describing the postional requirements for all the riding sections of the standards.
Who should attend:  Members who want to rate up this year and their parents.   This will make their rating process much easier on the member and the parent since they will understand what is expected of them.
Pony club instructors and upper level members who are or will be teaching pony club.  DC's and officers who want to be more familiar with what the standards really mean.  Non Pony club instructors who have students in pony club.
If you are interested please contact me with the number of people you think will be attending.
